SUNY CORTLAND TO PRESENT ORIGINAL BROADWAY HIT "PAL JOEY"

The Performing Arts Department of SUNY Cortland is proud to present the regional premier of the original 1940 Broadway hit musical "Pal Joey." Staying true to the music and lyrics of Rodgers and Hart, with book by John O'Hara, this production revives the story of Joey Evans, a small-time song and dance man who is desperate for success. The performance includes familiar songs, such as "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered" and "I Could Write A Book," and is highlighted by the spectacular choreography that has become a hallmark of SUNY Cortland musicals.

"Pal Joey" will be on the main stage at Dowd Fine Arts Theatre on the Cortland campus, October 28, 29, November 4, and 5 at 8pm, and October 30 and November 6 at 2pm. Admission is $16 for the general public; $14 for senior citizens and SUNY staff; $7 for all students and children, with tickets on sale at Jodi's Hallmark Shop on Main Street, Cortland, and at the door prior to each performance.
